Membership Rules and Conduct

  • Membership ID badges are to be worn at all times when in the hospital, and studio.
  • Members are NOT allowed to bring any guests into the studio (i.e. Friends, wives, husbands, etc.) Only fully inducted HBS members are allowed.
  • There must be a minimum of TWO HBS members in the studio at all times.
  • Members must conduct themselves in a proper and orderly manner when visiting the studio, and going on the wards. They must be dressed appropriately when going on wards, (i.e. shorts are not allowed).
  • Members must observe all rules regarding to studio and fire regulations. The door in the studio leading to the roof MUST ONLY BE OPENED IN AN EMERGENCY.
  • The studios, library, and office areas, are to be kept clean & tidy at all times (i.e. all used cups to be washed, and put away, all rubbish to be placed in bin.)
  • Members must sign in and out in the appropriate book, when entering and leaving the studio.
  • The office computer and telephones are to be used only by committee members, and appointed persons, in the course of HBS business.
  • Members must not remove any items from the studio (i.e. books, information, music CD’s, tapes, records & mini disks etc.), Without seeking prior approval from the appropriate committee members.
  • Members with keys must make sure the studio is left in a safe condition, (i.e. Equipment and lights turned off, doors locked, and ANSWER-PHONE TURNED ON.)
  • All full members are expected to participate in HBS activities (i.e. going on wards, fundraising etc.)
  • All members MUST notify the appropriate committee person if they cannot make the times dates they have stated they will attend for volunteering.
