Sheffield Hospital Radio's objective is to develop, inform and entertain the Sheffield Hospital community through hospital radio broadcasting which includes a combination of news, music, information, and educational programmes, all supported by volunteer members, and local stakeholders.

Sheffield Hospital Radio's philosophy is to broadcast programmes that will be a benefit to all in the community with a view to giving a balanced output targeted to meeting the needs of all. Our output will typically comprise of 75% music and 25% speech.

Our music output comes from a selection of many styles of music across seven decades... Featuring The Rolling Stones, Frank Sinatra, Sam Smith, Jimi Hendrix, Carly Simon, Adele, Buddy Holly, Abba, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, James Taylor, Ed Sheeran, Marvin Gaye, The Beatles, Killers, Shania Twain, Diana Ross, Jamie Cullum, Elton John, Katie Melua, Coldplay, Lily Allen, Michael Buble, Jason Derulo, Louis Armstrong, Arctic Monkeys, and many many more....

Transmission

Sheffield Hospital Radio's Studio is based in the heart of Sheffield at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

Patients can listen to the service via their mobile phone, tablets or laptops. We broadcast over the internet so any web enabled device will be able to receive us.

Outside of hospital family and friends can listen on the web or via Alexa smart speakers by saying "Alexa Play Sheffield Hospital Radio." The radio station can also be heard in cars fitted with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto when the passenger connects their mobile devices to the car software.

The station broadcasts to the following hospitals: Royal Hallamshire, Weston Park, Jessop Maternity Wing, Charles Clifford Dental and the Northern General Hospital.
