Hi, I'm Bernard. I'm a relative newcomer to the world of hospital radio, having joined Sheffield Hospital Radio in 2022 shortly after retiring from a career of more than 40 years in IT. Thanks to my parents and older siblings, I grew up with an eclectic taste in music that still influences what I enjoy listening to today.

I currently present two shows. The first is the Classical Show on Sunday afternoons from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, which is a wonderful way to spend a relaxing Sunday. My second programme is the 70s & 80s show on Monday afternoons from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, where I get to play the soundtrack to my formative years.

Away from the microphone, I also look after the station's extensive music library as Record Librarian, helping to manage the thousands of CDs and digital tracks in Sheffield Hospital Radio's collection.

Suggestions and requests for both shows are always welcome – although I'd prefer to avoid anything involving a cup-final football squad or a children's school choir!
