Presenter Profiles

Sophie West

As a lifelong fan of music and long time volunteer at many charities over the years, I decided to bring my two passions together and become a presenter at Sheffield Hospital Radio.

I've been an avid gig goer since my early teens, listening to anything from pop punk, sixties classics, dance, country and folk, amongst many other genres. Whilst I love the theatrical nature of an arena show, my heart still lies with those smaller venues and seeing up and coming bands. If you are a band local to Sheffield, please do get in touch with some of your music or gig listings!

More recently I've started singing and learning to play the bass guitar but haven't quite made it to the stage yet…one day!

We love getting requests, and as I believe music fosters connectiveness, I hope we can bring a sense of community to you whilst you're visiting Sheffield Hospital.
